Verizon Wireless has finally begun rolling out the highly anticipated BlackBerry 6 operating system for the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330.The BlackBerry 6 OS was first introduced in August on AT&T’s BlackBerry Torch 9800. It is the most significant Blackberry OS upgrade to date, and includes new search, media, and Web features that are specially optimized for touchscreen devices.

According to an image sent to the folks over at CrackBerry by one of their readers, the version of the OS for the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 is 6.0.0.431. The update is apparently being pushed OTA [over the air]. Unfortunately, OS 6.0.0.431 for the BlackBerry Curve 3G 9330 is not yet available on the Verizon Wireless website — which is a little strange.

Verizon users with compatible devices can get the update either over-the-air or by syncing their phone to the computer starting at 8 p.m. EST tonight.

Thanks
