If you have performed some tweaks with your Windows 7 Start menu and messed up the settings and don’t exactly remember how to revert back to the original settings, then this guide is for you.

Note: This post is targeted towards those users who have upgraded from Windows XP and are new to Windows 7.

Right click the Taskbar and choose the Properties option.

Now, in the Taskbar and Start Menu Properties dialog box, go to the Start Menu tab and then click theCustomize button, this will open the Customize Start Menu window.

In the Customize Start Menu window, hit the Use Default Settings button to revert back to the default start menu.
