Breaking News! Following the launch of the Milestone 2, Motorola has also announced that it will launching the Motorola Defy, a dust, scratch and water resistant new Android phone that comes with Motoblur.

Packed with cool features, it has a 3.7-inch screen, a 5 MP camera with dual LED Flash, 2 GB of integrated storage, 800 Mhz processor and Android 2.1 with Motoblur on board. This may not be the best thing since sliced bread but this phone is tough enough to be dropped, assaulted or drowned.

Here is the interesting part, the phone can sit under 1 meter of water for as long as 30 minutes without showing any sign of damage but this doesn’t mean you should consider it as a companion for your scuba diving activities.

No word on the price and availability yet although we know the device will make an appearance somewhere in fourth quarter of this year.
