Its seems that things in the tablet market are definitely cooking up! The tablet boom started back when Apple rolled out the iPad, which was instantly loved worldwide. Now we see new products from companies like HP, Samsung, Viewsonic and even BlackBerry entering the market each day in a bid to wipe out all competitors and take the top spot. So why not LG ? LG has unveiled its very own tablet, called the E-Note H1000B, in Korea today.

Features and specifications are certainly the most researched things by any prospective tablet customer. So what does the E-Note H1000B has to offer? On top, there is a 10.1 inch capacitive touchscreen, its being powered by an Intel Atom Z510 or Z530 processor with which there is 1 GB of Ram. Storage capacity is a 16 GB SSD storage. Other added features include two USB 2.0 slots, an SD card reader, Bluetooth and most importantly, Wi-Fi.

However, The E-Note H1000B does disappoint in a number of ways. First and foremost, it does not have a camera. Something which is most definitely the defining feature of all of the tablets that have been rolled out since the iPad. Recent tablet devices from Viewsonic, Blackberry and Samsung all have cameras, so the LG E-Note H1000B loses some serious points for that. Next, it comes with an irritatingly limited and commonly avoided Windows 7 Starter Edition, which does not even allow the user to customise the wallpaper. As said previously, its irritating.

So it boils down to the fact that these features are not exactly appealing and wouldn’t be able to make the product clash directly with its competitors. Another turn off of the tablet is the fact that it is priced at $850. However, it is also being said that LG is planning to roll out an Anroid tablet in the near future, which just might prove to be a genuine contender in the market rather the E-Note H1000B.
