Buffalo DriveStation Duo And DriveStation Quad

Buffalo Technology today launched two multi-drives to add to its USB 3.0 family. Intended for the home or small office, the USB 3.0 DriveStation Duo and DriveStation Quad are high performance, multimedia external hard drives designed for demanding users who want to achieve faster transfer speeds and require greater capacity. The new DriveStation range boasts 10 times faster transfer speeds than USB 2.0, accelerating the time it takes users to back up large servers or multimedia files. Both storage devices feature a removable front panel that ensures users can quickly and easily replace drives when required. There is also the “AutoPower” function that reduces power consumption. The DriveStation Duo is available in 2TB, 4TB and 6TB of storage capacities, while the DriveStation Quad is available in 5TB, 8TB and 12TB of storage capacities. The DriveStation Duo is now available for purchase and the DriveStation Quad will be released in March 2011. [Buffalo]
